Critical Thinking includes the skills of;

  • Interpretation – understanding, explaining, and deriving meaning from data, texts, and other forms of information
  • Analysis – breaking down complex information into its constituent parts, identifying claims and relationships in the data
  • Evaluation – assessing relevance, credibility, acceptability and probability of conclusions drawn based on source, purpose, arguments and evidence.
  • Reasoning – Reviewing information and generating a conclusion from previously evaluated propositions.
  • Self- Reflection – Monitoring one's own thinking process to question, review and adjust, confirm or correct the reasoning process and conclusions
